Mix & Match brings together a variety of artists to create a unified body of multimedia works, “collaged” within the gallery space.

By blending watercolor, manipulated photography, and sculpture, the exhibition entrances the viewer with its diverse palettes and techniques. Each artist contributes their unique voice to the collective “mesh,” creating a kind of living mood board. This immerses the audience in a symposium of emotion, entangled with distinct artistic expressions.

The gallery space mix and matches the artists, creating dynamic pairings and dialogues. Zena Assi’s surrealistic still-lifes converse with Franck Christen’s chromatic flora, while Jad El Khoury’s signature “doodles” seep into Yolande Labaki’s vivid patterns. The vibrant energy of these works is then contrasted by two distinct voices: Ahmad Manawishi’s expressionist sociopolitical commentary and Les Indisciplinés’s photographic documentation of Beirut’s underground. Meanwhile, David Kramer’s humorous text-based art intertwines with the light-hearted sculptures of Nevine Bouez and Maïa Tabet.

On the same evening, we are pleased to host a book signing for Rania Matar’s Where Do I Go?

While my photographs may not provide solutions or closure, I hope they nevertheless invite the viewer to pause and find the beauty, the hope, the shared humanity, and the grace that still exist despite everything”
